Church schools aim to provide an excellent education, distinctive ethos and inclusive approach to those of the Christian faith, other faiths and no faith.
We aim for all MAT schools to be highly successful, meeting the needs of their communities, retaining their unique and distinctive ethos and respecting the legacy of over 200 years of Church of England leadership in education.
In putting this vision into practice we seek to maintain the following principles:
To further develop, celebrate and maintain the Christian distinctiveness of all our schools.
To work to ensure that our academies become centres of excellence, leading to high achievement for all pupils with no significant gaps in attainment or progress between different groups.
To promote an educational community rooted in the Gospel values of humility, service and thoughtfulness so we can lead our pupils to become independent, responsible, self-motivated and caring members of society.
To promote structured mutual support which benefits those who work and learn in our academies.
To identify and develop future leaders who will commit to using the best and latest research in child development and pedagogy in order to drive forward school effectiveness.
To work towards every child and young person having a life enhancing encounter with the Christian faith and the person of Jesus Christ.
To fulfil the particular vocation Church schools have to the poor and vulnerable so as to open the doors of opportunity and enable transformational outcomes.
Our MAT has been established with the aim of securing rapid and sustained improvement in the performance of all its member academies. The MAT will generate and strengthen the concept of school-to-school support through sharing skills and expertise and by making the most effective use of resources.
We seek to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils, encouraging a vibrant and collaborative approach to school effectiveness and promoting real innovation which brings about positive change.
Our vision is for the MAT to grow in numbers and diversity – at all times maintaining and strengthening each member school’s own identity and sustainability.
The MAT is firm in the belief that all pupils have the right to an excellent education, delivered in an environment that values each of them as an individual and creates aspirational opportunities for them.Print this page
