Bramfield Church of England Primary School became our sixth member on 1st August - hard on the heels of Nacton Church of England Primary School (who joined the MAT on 1st July).
Both Bramfield and Nacton are schools serving close-knit communities - Bramfield in north-east Suffolk, just 8 miles from the sea at historic Dunwich - and Nacton on the outskirts of Ipswich and close to the banks of the river Orwell.
Graded as Good by OfSTED in May 2016 Bramfield maintains strong links with St Andrews Church and the school fosters Christian Values in its day to day life. The school house, gifted by the church, has been redeveloped as a space for teaching small groups and as music rooms.
Nacton C of E Primary was graded Outstanding by OfSTED at their last inspection. Headteacher, Jo Kidby says, “Governors were unanimous in their decision to convert to the Diocesan Multi Academy Trust understanding the importance of securing our Christian ethos and values into the future. Joining the MAT gives Nacton the opportunity to extend our creative curriculum and offer a diverse range of opportunities for pupils, as we look to out reach and share our practice with other MAT schools. The staff are very excited."
