Teaching Assistant
19 hrs per week (over 5 days) , 38 weeks per year
Salary £24,414 - £25,185 pro rata
Fixed term to end of academic year 2025/26 with possibility to extend
Mellis is a vibrant rural primary school and we are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and creative Teaching Assistant to join our busy and committed team. We are after someone with previous TA experience who can confidently hit the ground running. The role requires availability for five mornings a week (from 8:45am) and includes regular midday supervision duties. We welcome applications from candidates with a range of educational experiences. Training will be provided
You will have:
- Familiarity of working with primary school age children – previous experience of classroom support and interventions a distinct advantage
- High expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- A positive attitude, caring nature and great communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptably
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
- The confidence to work as a team and contribute to the school’s development
- Relevant experience, qualifications and good levels of literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent)
- Creativity and a good sense of humour!
